Innovation, Science and Technology Key to Socio-Economic Development and Growth- Nnaji

Earlier, the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli said that her visit is to seek collaboration with the Ministry in the area of connecting with the Directors- General of the 17 Agencies on service delivery to Nigerians.

Akajemeli further said that SERVICOM is encouraging the people through service delivery so as to trust and support government policies and programmes.

She then, commended the Ministry for quality service delivery and encouraged her not to relent in people’s-oriented work.

The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji has said that’ Nigeria economic growth depends on deployment of Innovation Science and Technology sector.

According to Chief Nnaji the present Administration wants to leave legacies that will stand the test of time, adding that Innovation Science and Technology being the bedrock of development is at the forefront.

The Minister said this when the National Coordinator SEVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli paid him a courtesy visit recently in Abuja.

He further said that the Ministry has produced numerous research products and is interested in commercializing them in order to enhance economic advancement of the Country.

To this, end he enjoined Nigerians to support the SERVICOM which is a great instrument for service delivery and national development.

Speaking, the Permanent Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology Mrs. Esuabana Nko-Asanye, said that SERVICOM was established 20 years ago for quality and effective service delivery to the populace as well as capacity building of staff in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
