LAGOS (FIC Lagos) – The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said that his administration’s developmental agenda is aimed at leveraging on the population of the State, for sustainable socio-economic development.

He said this while presenting a plaque to the Consul General of China in Lagos, Mr. Chu Moaming, during a courtesy visit by the Consul General at the Lagos State House, Ikeja on Monday, September 16th, 2019.

The Governor said his administration is prepared to turn the burden of the growing population in the State to opportunities by training people and equipping them with life skills.

He continued that his administration would be expanding the State Government’s relationship with the Chinese Government to build human capital, by exposing the young populace in the state to training opportunities in diverse areas, including technology, agriculture, manufacturing, construction, and cultural exchange.

He said, “Lagos and China can learn from each other because we share similarities in several areas; both entities are largely populated, with Lagos being the most populous city in Africa, we can promote value exchange that would lead to improved human capital development on both sides”.
