…………..NYG has become a vision of hope for the nation’s sports —Enoh.

States has shown its determination and readiness to put up superlative performances at the 8th edition of the National Youth Games going on in Asaba, Delta State.

As the game enters the third day, rush for medals continues with a total of 42 medals, 14 Gold, 14 Silver and 14 Bronze at different sports activities like Karate wrestling, Judo, cycling and many others with the host state taking the lead.

The first gold medals of the Youth Games went to Edo State through Weightlifting event as Esther Amarachi Chijioke won three Gold Medals for the State on day one of the games.

All the 36 States of the Federation and FCT are present in Asaba except River State which didn’t register for the game at all.

More medals continue to count as the game goes on till the 19th of September which marks the closing day of the event.

Under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Sports, Sen. John Owan Enoh, all hands are on on deck to achieve the mandate of the ministry by making sports not only for entertainment but also to contribute to the economic development of the nation through sports and the discovery of young talents to replace the ageing ones.
