FIC Report (Nasarawa State) – Nasarawa State government has renewed its commitments towards ensuring continued to support to the families of fallen heroes who have sacrifice lives in safeguarding the sovereignty of the nation.
Governor Abdullahi Sule made the commitment at an event to Wreath laying ceremony to marked the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance day held at the Government House Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital recently.
Governor Abdullahi Sule described the event as a solemn movement to remember the Contributions and sacrifices of the Nigerian gallant soldiers that fought to ensure that the country remained an indivisible nation saying his administration will continue to support Nigerian Army to Carter for surviving members of the fallen heroes.
The governor also calls on Nigerian citizens to continually pray for the leaders as well as the survivors of the nation’s fallen heroes.
The Activities marking the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance day commenced with Special Friday prayers and interdenominational Church Service on Sunday for the repose of the fallen heroes who Sacrificed their lives for peace and Unity of the Country.
Governor Abdullahi Sule also inspected the guard of honour led by Major Hassan Jibrin followed by the Wreath laying military beggle and three gunshots salute.
On his Part, Chairman Nigerian legion Nasarawa State chapter Hamidu Al-Majiri appreciated the sustained support of the Nasarawa State government to the Legionnaires however appealed for more support From other spirited individuals and organizations to their members.
The event was climaxed with a Free Medical outreach to the Surved fallen heroes who cannot Cater for their health needs.
