The National Directorate of Employment, Abia State flagged off one week advanced Training of Sustainable Agricultural Development Training Scheme (SADTS) using a model known as Knowledge, Attitude, Skill and Habit (KASH) Model for 50 participants who have undergone the SADTS.
Presenting a keynote address in Umuahia during the event, the NDE Abia State Coordinator, Mrs Tessy Wachuku encouraged them to take the Training seriously, reminding them that they are the few chosen among the lot who underwent the SADTS training.
She further tasked them not disappoint the Directorate and the Federal Government at large.
The Abia NDE Coordinator also informed the Participants that a daily stipend have been approved for their lunch.
In a brief remark, Mrs Stella Chukwuekezie, Head Rural Employment Promotion department, enjoined the participants to take advantage of the training which will cover nine modules in online marketing, entrepreneurial training, weed control and others.
She added that the essence of the advanced Training was to enhance their skills and make them more marketable.
She expressed gratitude to the Directorate, the government and all the dignitaries for gracing the occasion.
Responding on behalf of the participants, Mrs Ibe Uchenna Favour promised to take the Training seriously and apply it in their various enterprise, to become employers of labour in the nearest future.
