The Federal Republic of Nigeria expresses its sincere condolences to the government and people of Guinea following the tragic loss of life in the recent stampede during a football match in the city of N’Zerekorewhich caused the death of 56 persons.
It was reported that the unfortunate stampede was caused by protests of dissatisfaction with refereeing decisions and stone-throwing by supporters, resulting in fatal stampedes.
Our thoughts are with all those impacted by this dreadful event.
