The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, extends his warm greetings and congratulations to the Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, His Excellency Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, on the occasion of the celebration of India’s Republic Day anniversary.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations decades ago, Nigeria and India have maintained strong ties and strategic partnerships in global affairs. The two countries share a long history of cooperation and collaboration across various sectors and have consistently worked closely together on initiatives aimed at enhancing political and economic prosperity.
Both countries share similarities as multi-religious, multi-lingual, and multi-ethnic societies. It is, therefore, a great honour to extend our heartfelt wishes to the government and people of India—the largest democracy in the world—on this auspicious occasion.
The Government of Nigeria values the excellent relations between our two nations and remains committed to building on this strong foundation for the mutual benefit of our peoples.
