Nigeria Congratulates The Republic Of Namibia On Her Independence Anniversary

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, extends his warm congratulations to the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of Namibia, His Excellency, Peya Mushelenga on the occasion of their Country’s Independence Anniversary.

As Namibia marks 35 years of freedom and self-determination, Nigeria joins the global community in celebrating this significant milestone in Namibia’s history. Namibia’s journey to independence on March 21, 1990, remains a testament to the resilience and unwavering spirit of its people in the face of adversity. Nigeria is proud to have played a pivotal role in supporting Namibia’s struggle for liberation, standing in solidarity with the Namibian people during their fight for freedom, justice, and equality.

Since gaining independence, Namibia has made remarkable strides in fostering peace, democracy, and sustainable development. The country’s commitment to good governance, economic growth, and regional integration serves as an inspiration to the African continent and beyond.

Nigeria reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two nations. We look forward to deepening collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including trade, education, agriculture, and technology, for the benefit of our people and the development of the African continent.

As Namibia celebrates this historic day, Nigeria wishes the Government and people of Namibia continued peace, prosperity, and progress in the years ahead.
