Nigeria’s Tourism Minister to Champion National Presence at World Travel Market 2024

The Honourable Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Lola Ade-John, will lead Nigeria’s delegation of tourism stakeholders to the 2024 World Travel Market (WTM) in London, from November 5th to 7th, marking the nation’s return to this global platform after nearly a decade of absence.

During a recent meeting with major tourism associations, including the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA), the Nigeria Association of Tour Operators (NATOP), and the Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HATMAN), plans were finalized to showcase Nigeria’s rich tourism potential at the event. The Minister emphasized the importance of presenting a strong, unified delegation to enhance Nigeria’s impact on the global stage.

In collaboration with NANTA, which has represented Nigeria independently in the past, the Ministry of Tourism aims to consolidate efforts to ensure a more prominent and coordinated presence at the WTM this year. This strategic approach is expected to boost Nigeria’s visibility and attract international partnerships and investments.

The 2024 WTM is one of the world’s largest tourism exhibitions and offers a unique opportunity for Nigeria to highlight its diverse attractions, strengthen its international standing, and position the tourism sector as a key driver for economic growth and diversification.

This collective effort signals Nigeria’s renewed commitment to revitalizing its tourism industry, in line with President Bola Tinubu’s vision for economic transformation and global engagement.
