FIC Report (Katsina State) – In her welcome address the Director-General of KASEDA, Hajiya Aisha Aminu Malumfashi, expressed her gratitude to both NITDA and KASEDA for joining forces to organize such a beneficial event for the MSMEs in Katsina.
She emphasizes on the roles played by MSMEs in poverty alleviation and it’s contribution to the state and Nigeria’s economic development.
According to her, the workshop serve as an important platform to advance the growth and development of MSMEs in the state, enabling them to leverage digital tools for improved productivity and success in the competitive market.
The DG expressed optimism that the workshop will help MSMEs in Katsina to acquire new skills and knowledge to navigate the digital landscape effectively.
While speaking, Engr Salisu Kaka, a representative of the Director-General of NITDA emphasized the importance of digital transformation in today’s business landscape and highlighted the various resources and support available to MSMEs through NITDA.
In his goodwill message, the deputy governor, Alhaji Farouk Jobe, commended the initiative and stressed the government’s commitment to supporting MSMEs in the state.
The Deputy Governor revealed that the state government is committed to equip MSMEs with essential digital skills and knowledge for digital technology.
It was learnt that throughout the three-day training program, attendees had the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops to enhance their digital capabilities.
During the programme, experienced trainers and experts facilitated sessions on topics such as e-commerce, digital marketing, cybersecurity, and financial technology.
