…………Highlights Nigeria’s 38-year-old Contributions to Sustainable Development through the Technical Aid Corps Scheme.
The Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, has reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to the sustainable development ideals of the Total Official Support for Sustainable Development (TOSSD), a development cooperation multilateral agency headquartered in Paris, France.
Speaking at the ongoing General Assembly meeting of TOSSD in Madrid, Spain, Buba highlighted Nigeria’s 38-year contributions to sustainable development through the Technical Aid Corps Scheme, which has provided expert services of professional Nigerians to promote South-South Cooperation.
Buba commended President Tinubu for his commitment to sustainable development goals and expressed gladness at the renewed energy with which the current administration has pursued the vision of a great Nigeria on many fronts, including the global arena.
With Nigeria’s current full membership status, the country has transitioned from its previous observer status to a full member of the 28-member-state body, joining countries such as France, Greece, Norway, and Qatar, as well as the EU countries and the Organization of American States.
The NTAC DG led a delegation comprising the Director of Administration, Amb. Yakubu Abdullahi Ahmed, and Amb. Zakari Usman, Director of Programmes, to the meeting facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain.
