President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday 29th, November 2023 presented N27.5trillion 2024 budget to the Joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja.
The Budget tagged ‘Budget of Renewed Hope’ will  among many other things create local jobs , macro- economic stability, investment opportunity, poverty reduction and address long standing issues in Education sector with student loan to begin in January 2024.
President Bola Tinubu while presenting the budget further said the Nation’ s Internal Security Architectural would be overhauled to enhance law enforcement capabilities with a view to safeguarding life and properties and also said the budget prioritize human capital development with special attention given to children because human capital is the most critical resource for National development.
The Senate President, God’s will Akpabio in his opening speech at the budget presentation appreciated the bond between the legislature and the executive, he said the10th National Assembly is fully aligned with the President’s dream for the Country and will create an enabling legal environment for sustainable progress and growth.
Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, the Speaker of the House of Representative while given the votes of thanks expressed his appreciation to Mr. President for taking time out to perform the long term tradition of budget presentation and sure him that the budget will get utmost priority it deserves and accelerated consideration which will address the most critical needs of our people.
