FIC REPORT (ANAMBRA STATE) – The Anambra State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), alongside other sister agencies, visited the site of the ongoing rehabilitation and maintenance works at the First Niger Bridge, Onitsha.
The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Bridget Asekhauno, alongside other service chiefs in Anambra State visited the First Niger Bridge to inspect the ongoing repair works and assess the prevailing security situation around the bridge.
During the inspection, the Sector Commander reaffirmed FRSC’s readiness to provide effective traffic management and ensure the safety of motorists and other road users throughout the rehabilitation period. She also emphasized the importance of close collaboration and synergy among the FRSC, the Police, and other sister security agencies to minimize traffic disruptions and maintain the free flow of traffic.
The Command further assures members of the public that appropriate traffic control measures will be deployed as necessary. At the same time, motorists are advised to exercise patience, obey traffic regulations, follow the instructions of traffic control personnel, and plan their journeys accordingly.
The FRSC Anambra State Command remains committed to ensuring safe, orderly, and efficient traffic management and will continue to work closely with relevant stakeholders to safeguard lives and property during the rehabilitation works.
