“This year has been filled with challenges and triumphs, and it through our collective efforts that we have not only met those challenges but have also reached new heights”.

The National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer SERVICOM Presidency Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli made the statement during the year 2024 SERVICOM End of the year Nodal Officers Meeting/Awards Ceremony, in Abuja.

Akajemeli maintained that each Nodal / Focal Officer has played a crucial role in driving the service delivery initiatives forward, and their unwavering dedication has been a cornerstone of our success story today.

She hinted that thirty-two (32) MDA’s received the SERVICOM’s award of excellence while Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) took the overall best as Mrs Ann Ihuoma Dozie-Enukora from NUPRC took the overall best performing Nodal Officer of the year.

“It is another time of the year where we name, praise and celebrate deserving frontline workers who have excelled in various sectors in delivering citizens focused service delivery with excellence in their organizations,” National Coordinator added.

Mrs Akajemeli highlighted some of the objectives of SERVICOM Nodal Officers’ Awards such as encouraging healthy competition among MSUs, and holding government as more accountable to the Nigerian citizens, and to promote best practice in service delivery and among others.

She expressed appreciation to the Nodal Officers and Focal Officers towards their attention to details, commitment to service excellence, collaboration and innovation.

The National Coordinator explained that the SERVICOM Office started awarding and celebrating Nodal Officers and MDAs that met and exceeded citizens’ expectations since the year 2007 and have since then made efforts to institutionalize awards/reward system in MDAs so that they don’t only preach to MDAs to reward those who do well, but they are seen to practice what they preach.

Akajemeli stated that over thirty (30) MDA’s and some supporting Chief Executive Officers received awards and recognition this year, in line with SERVICOM method of raising and praising individuals, service providers and Organizations.
