The National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer, (NC/CEO) SERVICOM, Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli has commended the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission over the digitalization of their Service Charter with a Bar Code as part of efforts to ensure continuous improvements in quality service delivery initiatives to Nigerians.
Akajemeli made the commendation during the Inauguration of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC) SERVICOM Unit/Committee inauguration and Charter Launch in Abuja on Thursday September 12th, 2024.
According to her, “Today’s inauguration of the Parastatals SERVICOM Committee and launching of the Service Charter with a bar code, marks a critical step and a loud statement in an attempt to further strengthen the service delivery initiatives in National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission (NSIWC)”.
SERVICOM she said is connecting with the commitment of the Chairman in making service delivery real time in the Commission, by introducing the bar code to access the Service Charter globally.
The Coordinator explained that “The Nigerian worker today, are more aware of their rights, have better access to information on wages and compensation as in other African countries, and can easily juxtapose what obtains here and consequently have higher expectations.”
She added that “SERVICOM is the Government’s solution to manage such expectations and answer to public service delivery processes,” further expressing the hope that the commitment and enthusiasm demonstrated here today would be sustained in the Commission.
She further reiterated the fact that, SERVICOM is a one stop Solution Centre to service delivery initiatives of the Federal Government, which falls in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Mr, President.
She called on the Management and staff of the Commission to ensure that through networking and team building amongst internal departments and units, this collaboration of collective efforts would provide quality service delivery to all Nigerians.
In his Welcome address the Chairman/ CEO, Salaries and Wages Commission, Ekpo Nta Eqs, commended the SERVICOM Office for initiating service delivery from one small initiative to an International brand and global standards.
According to him, this initiative has brought back the ethical functions of the Salaries and Wages Commission Service Charter that is iconic and global to meet up with world best practices, given the fact that it has upgraded its Service Charter with a Bar Code.
He affirmed his commitment to support the Unit, stating that, this initiative is a testament of entrenching the Culture of Service excellence driven by SERVICOM Presidency Office to ensure that effective and efficient service delivery initiatives is rendered in Salaries and Wages Commission to Nigerians.
