Speaker Dogara visits Abia, congratulates Governor

UMUAHIA (FIC’ Report)- The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has congratulated the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu for being a legislative friendly Governor.

Dogara who said this recently, while on a courtesy visit to the Governor of Abia State at the Governors Lodge in Aba, said that the fact that the Governor accepted to work with his former colleagues, Hon Eziuche Ubani and Hon Uzor Azubuike in his cabinet is an indication that he is legislative friendly.

He commended the Governor for his support for the National Assembly members  from Abia state without which they would not have achieved much. He also commended the Governor for restoring security in the state.

The Speaker who lauded the Governor for his campaign for made in Aba products, said that Aba has never been lacking in ideas, maintaining that  Aba is the home of Made in Nigeria Campaign we are today proclaiming.

He said he sees Aba as the hub of entrepreneurship in Nigeria and urged the Governor  to support Aba entrepreneurs.

Receiving the speaker, the Governor commended the Speaker on his leadership, pointing out that he has been a strong and stabilizing factor in the House. He stated that their former colleagues, Hon Eziuche Ubani and Hon Uzor Azubuike have been doing very well and also expressed satisfaction with the performance of Abians in the House of Representatives.

Dr Ikpeazu said he is prepared to do everything to attract investors to Aba as it is a way to ensure technology transfer.

He enjoined Nigerians to take pride in locally made products as a way of encouraging local entrepreneurs.
