MESSAGES FROM THE PRESIDENT.
The Speaker conveyed to the House two letters addressed to him by the President on the need for the consideration and passage of the 2022 Supplementary Budget Proposal and Restructuring of Ways and Means Advances for short-term or emergency finance to fund delayed government expected cash receipts of fiscal deficits.
The letter on the 2022 Supplementary Budget Proposal was referred to the Committee Appropriation Committee while the letter on Restructuring of Ways and Means Advances was referred to the Committee on Aids, Loans and Debts and Finance Committees.
MATTER OF URGENT PUBLIC IMPORTANCE
Rep. Hassan Abdullah moved a motion of Urgent Public Importance on the need for accountability on the returned looted artifacts. His prayers, among others, included the need to ensure that the artifacts are returned to their places of origin as well as the need for the House Committee on Culture and Tourism to liaise with the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture.
