Today (7th April 2021), the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, H E Chief Timipre Sylva received the report of the Committee on Compensatory Contracts and other incentives for Kaztec Engineering Limited.
Receiving the report at the Ministry’s Boardroom in NNPC Towers, the Honourable Minister commended the Committee for a thorough job and the timeliness of the assignment.
Chief Sylva noted that the committee was constituted on the directive of the President, to ensure that justice is done on the matter.
The Minister further assured the Committee that the recommendations in the report will be forwarded to the President for further directive.
The Committee led by its Chairman, Senator Magnus Abe, a Board Member of the NNPC was inaugurated by the Federal Government to investigate the extent of damage, loss and way forward for the company.
In attendance at the presentation were The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Bitrus Bako Nabasu mni, S. A. Legal to HMSPR, Dr. Kelechi Ofoegbu, Mr. Manuel Ibituroko of Department of Petroleum Resources, Mr. Adewale Bakare of the Federal Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment, Mr. Abiodun Aikomo, Federal Ministry of Justice, Mr. Suleiman A. Audu, Federal Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment, Barr. Aaluuba Don-Oboh, Ministry of Petroleum Resources among others.
