The SERVICOM Presidency has said that team collaborations within MDAs drives sustainable development to attain excellent service delivery service wide.
This assertion was made, when the National Coordinator/ CEO SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli delivered her key note address at the National Orientation Agency, inauguration of SERVICOM Unit / Committee of National Orientation Agency (NOA), in Abuja today 20th January, 2025.
According to her “, National Orientation Agency through the SERVICOM Unit /Committee most foster collaborations amongst Stakeholders to drive service delivery improvements for sustainable developments in MDAs”.
”Service is what the people are entitled to expect from us, “hence the need to sustain Service Delivery Initiatives that would make much impact in the Agency and add value to the renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government of Nigeria.”. she added.
As public servants she said” Service is what we offer ourselves for and service is what the people are entitled to expect from us “
She called on all hands to be on deck for the Agency to achieve its vision and consistently raise awareness around NOA’s activities and programmes, while also providing timely and credible feedbacks that would positively change attitudes, values and behaviors’ of the Nigerian citizens.
She advised the Agency to accurately and adequately inform and sufficiently mobilize citizens to act in ways that promotes peace, harmony, and national development in Nigeria.
The National Orientation Agency, she said, can further improve service delivery by carrying out awareness campaigns tailor – made for regions, demographic and specific community needs, ensuring that the right messages reach the right audiences.
Akajemeli encouraged the Agency to ensure all communications issued out are straightforward devoid of jargons or ambiguity, messages she said, should be culturally relevant and aligned with the understanding levels of different communities.
Furthermore, the Coordinator, called for strengthening of partnerships with private sector organizations, especially in areas of technology, media and social services to expand the reach and impact of NOA Initiatives.
The Agency, she said, should engage in conducting regular surveys and reviews to assess the effectiveness of NOA programmes and feedbacks gathered from the public, stakeholders and programme beneficiaries.
She solicited for more Management support for the SERVICOM Unit / Committee, and for the Agency to develop their Service Charter and regularly meet to share ideas and best practice on Service Delivery Initiatives that would be sustainable in driving improvements in all the service points of NOA.
The Director General National Orientation Agency, (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa – Onilu, in his welcome address, informed the National Coordinator of the responsibility of NOA which is communicating government mandate across board to the Nigerian citizens.
He commended the SERVICOM Boss on her drive and charisma towards driving service improvements in Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government that are visible and impactful to the citizens.
Mallam Lanre, pledged his commitment and support to the SERVICOM Unit / Committee of the Agency just inaugurated “We would give you much support, but to whom much is given much is expected”, he added.
