FIC Report (Kaduna State) – The Kaduna state Government under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani received a delegation from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.
They were led by the UN Consultant and Renowned Journalist, Kadaria Ahmed and the UNDP Head of Office, North West, Mr. Ashraf Usman.
Governor Uba discuss centered around the Northwest Peace, Security and Development Framework and how their can further strengthen the relationship with the UNDP in the implementation of this framework.
Uba said the mission of the team is indeed timely and strategic. The North West Zone faces an existential threat.
He also expressed that Northwest Peace, Security and Development Framework will foster synergy and mutual collaborative approach, promote regional stability, economic prosperity, and social advancement, and broaden the developmental perspective to address the root causes of conflict and insecurity confronting the region.
Sani said Kaduna state is already partner with any organ that brings peace in Kaduna State.
He also mentioned that Kaduna Peace Model is already bearing fruits. We have restored peace and security to conflict-challenged LGAs like Birnin-Gwari, Giwa, and Kauru.
He added that in Kaduna have sustained our citizens engagement programmes.
He called for ramped up our social interventions programmes to bring succour to the poor, vulnerable and underserved citizens.
He also said tackling poverty headlong through our Rural Transformation Programme aimed at revitalizing local economies through massive infrastructural development and creating opportunities for citizens.
