The Director General, Bureau of Public Service Reform, Mr. Dasuki Arabi has urged Civil Society Organizations operating in Nigeria to support government’s anti-corruption policy.
He made this known recently at the annual Integrity Icon Nigeria Awards, hosted by Accountability Lab Nigeria in collaboration with McArthur Foundation.
Arabi while commending the organizers, said: “The event is apt and timely in view of the numerous challenges bedevilling our dear nation as a result of dwindling national revenue and the effect of the global COVID 19 pandemic that has changed the way we operate including our country’s economy”.
He also retierated that the organizers has done well in supporting change-makers to develop and implement positive ideas that promote integrity in private and public sectors.
“It is on record that in the last nine years, the Accountability Lab Nigeria has demonstrated persistent commitment to bring about positive social and economic changes in the country by supporting change-makers to develop and implement positive ideas that promote integrity in private and public sectors thereby promoting accountability, improving service delivery and reducing corruption in the society.
“Let me convey our profound compliments and congratulations to the five successful Integrity Icons who were selected out of over 800 other eminently qualified patriotic Nigerians. Please bear in mind that your recognition today demands from you more patriotic commitment to the ideals that promote the peaceful growth and development of our nation”. He added.
