The SERVICOM Office Presidency and the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) have reaffirmed their joint commitment to transforming public service delivery, urging civil servants across all cadres to embrace accountability, process reform, and continuous improvement.

Speaking at the Annual SERVICOM Parastatal Committee Workshop held on 24th August, 2026 at the NITDA Headquarters in Abuja under the theme “Every Role Matters – Delivering Quality Service Together,” the leadership of both organisations emphasised that achieving high-quality outcomes was a shared institutional responsibility.

Delivering the goodwill message, the Ag. National Coordinator/CEO of SERVICOM Mrs. Helen Lawal, commended NITDA for prioritising citizen satisfaction and aligning its operations with core public service principles. She noted that while technological tools enhance efficiency, human effort ultimately determines the customer experience.  “Technology may provide the tools for improving service delivery, but it is the people behind the systems and processes who ultimately determine the quality of the experience received by the customer,” Lawal stated. She urged public institutions to continuously audit workflows, eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks, enforce Service Charters, and actively utilise stakeholder feedback for organisational growth.

Reaffirming NITDA’s commitment to those principles, the Director of Digital Development Services Mr. Oladejo Oluwumi, who represented the Director-General, stated that “quality service delivery begins internally long before reaching external stakeholders.” He explained that “NITDA’s drive for operational excellence aligns directly with its implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.” Reassuring staff of Management’s dedication to providing necessary resources and leadership, Oluwumi called on members of staff “to treat SERVICOM standards not as routine compliance, but as an embedded culture of daily conduct.”

Earlier in her welcome address, Head of the Reform Coordination and Service Improvement Unit (RCSIU)/NITDA’s Nodal Officer, Mrs. Tariundu Ndoni, stressed that service excellence required total team integration. She emphasised that “every role from administrative officers and technical experts to front-desk staff, security guards, and janitorial personnel, plays a vital part in building public confidence.” Mrs. Ndoni urged employees to “move away from asking whether a duty strictly falls within their job description and instead adopt a supportive mindset focused on ensuring successful service delivery across the agency.”
