The Executive Chairman Abaji Area Council Honorable Abubakar Umar Abdullahi on Tuesday 10 December 2024 graciously attended the official unavailing of ASO MIRROR NEWS PAPER founded by indigenous son of the Federal Capital Territory, A Native of Jiwa community in Abuja municipal Area Council of the Nation Capital. As a private owned print medium in the heart of Abuja is a well come development to be utilize to enlighten our people on daily basis of the government activities, programmes that will impact their lives.
He said, Today is a special day in the history of Abuja to witness this ceremony to introduced ASO MIRROR newspaper to compete in the field of journalism with aims to enlighten the citizenry on GOVERNMENT activities.
As we all know, Journalism as the fourth estate of democracy is guided by Laws and regulations to provide accurate news based on facts and figures to promote our society and provide condusive atmosphere to Nigerians.
He expressed his readiness to collaborate with the new print Medium as indigenous media to enlighten our people on government policies and Programmes within the capital city and it’s environs.
We shall use the media as a platform to bridge the gap and ensure prompt updates to our people on government reforms and policies, achievements in city centre and the communities surrounding the capital at large.
He urged the Management of the Newspaper to adhere strictly to ethics of journalism while discharging their duties, and ensure all intents and contexts are investigative in nature as that will determine your acceptability or otherwise.
