The Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, yesterday attended the official launch of the Naija Food Festival in Lagos, organized by Hunter TV Africa.
On arrival, the Minister expressed delight at the vibrant display of Nigerian cuisines, which showcased the country’s rich culinary traditions and diverse flavors. He noted that the festival’s celebration of culture, creativity, and entrepreneurship aligns with the Ministry’s continued efforts to empower young Nigerians and promote national identity.
Comrade Olawande participated actively in the festivities, joining Hon. Ayo Adeagbo, Special Assistant to the President on Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy; music icon Wasiu Alabi Pasuma; and Hon. Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, in a live cooking session.
The Minister commended the organizers for their innovative approach to cultural promotion and expressed optimism about future partnerships.
He emphasized the importance of preserving and investing in Nigeria’s culinary heritage, urging stakeholders across the entertainment, arts, and cultural sectors to align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for youth empowerment and inclusive national development.
In closing, Comrade Olawande reaffirmed the Federal Government’s strong commitment to supporting initiatives that celebrate Nigerian heritage, foster creativity, and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
