NYSC Bids Farewell To 2024 Batch B Corps Members In Benue: Courage, Service, And Legacy Celebrated

FIC Report (Benue State) – The Benue State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Veronica Garba, has called on the 2024 Batch B outgoing Corps members to channel the knowledge and skills acquired during their service year — especially those gained through the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme — toward making meaningful contributions to society.

Mrs. Garba made this charge during a low-key Passing Out Parade (POP) held at the NYSC Makurdi Zonal Office on Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025.

In her remarks, she acknowledged that many of the Corps members arrived in Benue State with apprehension due to reported security concerns, but commended them for their resilience and bravery. “Today, you stand proud to receive your certificates — a testament to your courage and determination,” she said.

She further praised those who initiated and executed community development projects, leaving behind enduring legacies in their host communities. She also encouraged them to continue leveraging the skills they’ve mastered and congratulated those who embraced new entrepreneurial paths during the service year.

In his remarks, the Corps Liaison Officer (CLO), Quincy Chuckwemeka Odoemela (BN/24B/0345), expressed deep gratitude to the State Coordinator and the NYSC Secretariat Makurdi staff for their unwavering support. He noted that as Corps members return to their various destinations, they will carry with them the enduring spirit of NYSC Benue State.

The event’s high points included the ceremonial presentation of Certificates of National Service (CNS) to the most outstanding Corps members of the year: Idise Lorita M. (BN/24B/0457) and Quincy Chuckwemeka Odoemela (BN/24B/0345), followed by photo sessions marking the end of a memorable service year.
