FIC Report (Borno State) – The minister, leading a delegation comprising the Permanent secretary and other directors from the ministry, visited to inspect the ongoing reconstruction of Alau Dam.
This follows Governor Zulum’s own visit to the site on 2nd August, shortly after returning from a two-day resilience+tour to Gwowa and Bama local Government Areas. The governors inspection was promoted by concerns from residents of Maiduguri and surrounding communities over potential flooding risks.
After receiving a briefing from the site engineer and touring the project, governor Zulum reassured the public that there was no cause for alarm.
Zulum has not only shown strong commitment to the rehabilitation and upgrade of Alau Dam but has also taken full ownership of the project to ensure its timely completion.
