The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, conveys heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, as the Government and people of China commemorate their National Day.
This historic anniversary highlights China’s remarkable journey of nation-building, resilience, and innovation, which continue to stand as an inspiration to the global community. Nigeria values its close relations with China, anchored on mutual trust, shared aspirations, and a strong record of cooperation in economic, political, and cultural spheres.
Nigeria remains committed to further strengthening its strategic partnership with China, particularly in areas such as trade, infrastructure development, investment, education, and technology, within both bilateral and multilateral platforms including the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Nigeria recognises China’s constructive role in promoting peace, multilateral dialogue and global development, and therefore looks forward to advancing even greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
We therefore reaffirm the readiness to deepen bilateral relations with China, explore new areas of partnership, and promote greater people-to-people ties for the mutual benefit of both nations, while wishing the Government and people of the People’s Republic of China peace, prosperity, and Nigeria’s continuing friendship and support.
