
The Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, has applauded the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN) for its remarkable achievements since inception, describing the Institute’s progress as “giant strides.”
The DG gave the commendation during the Institute’s 2nd Founders’ Day celebration held on Thursday in Abuja. The event featured the induction of new Members, Professional Practitioners, and Fellows of the Institute, as well as the presentation of awards to deserving individuals.
Chaired by Hon. Justice Moore Abraham Aseimo of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, the ceremony drew an impressive audience, including the Founder and Pioneer President of CIFCFIN, Dr. Iliyasu Buba Gashinbaki; Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Alhaji Mairiga Aliyu Katuga; Registrar/CEO and Secretary to the Council, Dr. Isa Egah Salifu; former EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu; representatives of the Development Bank of Nigeria, the Inspector General of Police, and the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), among many other senior government officials and stakeholders.

Standing to the DG’s right are Mr. Hafeez Bashir and Mr. Shuiabu Garba Pai, while to his left are Mr. Hamza Habib and Mr. Abdulkadir Bayero.
In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Buba Yakub expressed pride in the Institute’s steady growth and notable milestones, adding that CIFCFIN’s advancements underscore its commitment to strengthening professionalism in forensics and fraud investigation—areas he described as crucial to Nigeria’s ongoing fight against corruption and economic crimes.
The NTAC DG was also honoured during the event, with speakers acknowledging his pivotal role as sponsor of the Bill establishing the Institute.
The celebration concluded with an official photograph session involving the leadership of the Institute and invited guests.
