FIC Report (Zamfara State) – The Nigeria Union of Journalists Zamfara State Council has donated a Ramadan palliatives to the families of deceased members of the Union.
The presentation of palliatives which was held at the council press centre recognized the contributions of the deceased members to the development of the profession.
Speaking during the presentation of packages the Chairman of the state council, Comrade Ibrahim Musa Maizare stated that the leadership of the council decides to present assistance to the families of deceased members so that their contributions could not be forgotten.
Maizare further stated that the Council would design policy that would cater for the deceased families particularly in areas of health related issues, education and skill acquisition development.
In his remark, the NUJ Zonal Secretary Comrade Abdulrazak Bello Kaura who represented the National President of the Union Alhasan Yahaya emphasizes the willingness of the National Secretariat to assist any council that consider the welfare of their members as priority particularly the the deceased families.
Thirteen family members were given Twenty five thousand Naira each and other packages of food stuffs.
