The Ministry of Petroleum Resources has hosted officials of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for the commencement of the 2026 Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard Assessment.
The assessment, which took place recently in Abuja, brought together officials of the Ministry led by the Director, Midstream and Downstream, Mrs. Ikenma Irene, who represented the Permanent Secretary, alongside the Leader of the ICPC delegation, Dr. Essiet Peter Johnson.
The exercise forms part of the ICPC’s nationwide assessment of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to determine their level of compliance with established ethics and integrity standards, as well as assess the functionality and impact of their Anti-Corruption and Transparency Units (ACTUs).
The assessment is also aimed at evaluating the extent to which MDAs have institutionalised ethical practices, strengthened integrity mechanisms and promoted anti-corruption measures in the discharge of their mandates.
