FIC Report (Delta State) – The Delta State Police Command, on 20th August 2026, commenced Day One of activities marking the Nigeria Police Force International Youth Day 2026 Commemoration under the National Youth Leadership and Security Initiative, with a community engagement at Koka Junction, Asaba, the State capital, in furtherance of the national campaign, “My Future Is Greater Than Political and Digital Thuggery.”
Disclosing this in a press statement, the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer PPRO SP Bright Edafe, noted that the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, psc, acipm, mnips, accompanied by senior officers of the Command, engaged youths, commercial transport operators and other members of the public on the dangers of crime, violence, political thuggery and the misuse of digital platforms.
The CP charged youths to resist criminal and political exploitation, embrace responsible citizenship and channel their energies towards productive endeavours, stressing that their future must not be sacrificed for criminal or political interests.
