FIC Report (Bayelsa State) – This is to inform the members of the public, that upon the recent meritorious retirement of AIG Johnson Olowule Adenola psc,, mspsp ,the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc NPM, has appointed AIG Abubakar Zubairu psc(+) as the new Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 16 headquarters, Yenagoa Bayelsa State.
AIG Abubakar Zubairu who is the 12th AIG of the Zone hails from Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State and was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1992. He holds a B.SC (Hons) Degree in Political Science.
The dogged crime fighter and Operational guru has held several positions in all strata of the Force. Until his recent posting as the Zonal Commander, he was the AIG in charge of Zone 8, Lokoja.
The New AIG promises to bring his professional and intellectual exposure to bear in superintending the affairs of the two states within the Zone.
The Zonal Police headquarters hereby solicits the co-operation, encouragement and support of the public to enable the AIG carry out his duties effectively as well as accomplishing the policing agenda of the Force.
