FIC Report (Adamawa State) – The Adamawa State Police command has reviewed its operational strategy as part of renewed efforts to strengthen security and enhance crime prevention in the society.
The review followed a strategic security meeting converned by the commsioner of police, Kabiru Umar Hassan, and held at the command Headquarters in Yola, during the week.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations officer, SP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje, on behalf of the commissioner of Police, Adamawa State command.
The meeting brought together members of the Senior Management team, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOS) Tactical commanders, and Heads of Department.
During the season, the Commissioner received operational briefings from Area Commanders, DPOS and tactical commanders on the prevailing security situation within their respective areas of responsibility.
Discussions centered on assessing ongoing security operations and adopting measures to improve policing across the State.
CP Hassan directed all operational commanders to intensify proactive policing increases visibility patrols, and strengthen intelligence, led operations with particular emphasis sustained raids on identified criminal hideouts.
He also charged officers and personnel of the command to uphold the highest standard of professionalism while carrying out their duties.
The Commissioner stressed the importance of respecting human rights, adhering to the rule of law and complying with the Nigeria Police Force code of conduct during all policing operations.
Reaffirming the command’s commitment to the public safety, the police commissioner assured residents of Adamawa State that the command would continue to work diligently to protect crime and maintain a peaceful and secure environment across the State.
