…………..Reiterates Command’s Zero Tolerance To Crime And Criminality In The State.
FIC Report (Delta State) – The Commissioner of Police Delta State CP. Abaniwonda Olufemi, has assured Deltans, residents and non-residents of the Command’s readiness to ensure a hitch-free celebration ahead of the Easter festivity following the massive deployment of officers in the command to strategic locations across the State.
In a press statement signed by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP. Edafe Bright ANIPR, the CP directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Commanders of the various Tactical Teams in the Command, to heighten their visibility across the State in order to prevent, combat, and at the same time, counter serious and violent crimes during the Easter holiday and beyond.
The CP noted that the police will focus on special crime awareness and prevention operations, as well as targeting common crimes during and after the celebration.
He further advised the public to be alert, law-abiding, and also be actively instrumental to the policing of their environment and aid the police in the fight against criminality during the Easter period through offering useful information to the police and other law enforcement agencies.
The statement further revealed that the Command has drawn up additional deployments from the Department of Operations, Tactical teams which include; Dragon Patrol, RRS, Raiders Squad, Safe Delta, Safer High Way Patrol, Eagle-Net Special Squad, and Crack Squad, adding that personnel will also be deployed to worship and resort centres to ensure maximum security of lives and property across the State.
CP Abaniwonda Olufemi noted that the Command will further tighten its crime-fighting efforts during the Easter period and beyond hence, all officers will be out in full force working closely with other sister agencies to ensure the safety of the good and peace-loving residents of the State
