The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio and his wife, Dr (Mrs) Ekaette Unoma Godswill Akpabio joined the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno and other distinguished personalities at the State anniversary variety night on Wednesday, September 23 as part of the activities to mark the 39th anniversary of the creation of Akwa Ibom State.
In his remarks, Akpabio congratulated the people of Akwa Ibom State on the momentous occasion and Governor Eno on his remarkable achievements especially the Arise Palm Resort where the banquet was held.
He noted that the Resort was one of the worst erosion site in the State and marveled at the remarkable transformation into a place of relaxation and enjoyment to boost the tourism potentials of the State.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress that successive administrations have made in the state and commended the vision of Governor Eno. He wished the State more achievements in the years ahead.
