The Federal High Court 11, Abuja, on Tuesday, 22nd September 2026, heard the suit filed by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (CIPSMN) against the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).
The matter came up before Hon. Justice Obiora Atuegwu Egwuatu.
During proceedings, the Court observed that the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), which had applied to be joined as a defendant in the suit, was absent and not represented by counsel.
In the interest of fair hearing and to afford all parties the opportunity to be heard, the Court adjourned the matter to 17th November 2026.
The Court also directed that all processes be amended to properly reflect the parties before the substantive suit is heard.
The Bureau of Public Procurement reaffirms its commitment to due process, respect for the rule of law, and the diligent defence of its statutory mandate under the Public Procurement Act, 2007.
