FIC Report (Edo State) – The Chairman of the Committee of Heads of Federal Government Establishments (COHEADs), Edo State Chapter, Mr. James Osasere Orumwense, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, Mr. Monday Agbonika, fdc.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman expressed appreciation to the Commissioner of Police for the warm reception accorded the delegation. He noted that the visit was aimed at fostering synergy, deepening mutual understanding, and strengthening the existing working relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and COHEADs in Edo State.
Mr. Orumwense commended the Commissioner for his proactive and strategic approach to policing since assuming office in April 2025. He particularly cited the recent successful dismantling of an extortion syndicate operating within Benin City and its environs, among other notable achievements recorded by the Command.
In his response, the Commissioner of Police assured the delegation of the Command’s commitment to sustained collaboration with COHEADs in promoting peace, security, and socio-economic development in the State. He described the Committee as a vital partner in governance and pledged to designate a representative to participate in COHEADs’ regular meetings.
Other members of COHEADs who accompanied the Chairman include the Vice Chairman, Mr. Fred Elakhe; the General Secretary, Mr Daniel Ejodamen; the Vice Secretary, Mr. Sani James; Barrister (Mrs.) M. N. Ogba; and Mr. Odigie Frederick.
