I warmly and heartily congratulate Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the conferment of the highly revered chieftaincy title of “Soniyanko Nupe” by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers.
This prestigious recognition is not only richly deserved but deeply symbolic, coming at a defining moment in Nigeria’s national journey. It reflects the enduring impact of Her Excellency’s compassionate and people-centred leadership, particularly her unwavering commitment to humanitarian service, social inclusion, and responsive interventions for victims of insecurity, displacement, and natural disasters across the country. Her timely support to communities affected by flooding and other emergencies in Niger State and beyond has further demonstrated her exceptional dedication to national service.
On behalf of Nigerian women, children, families, and other vulnerable groups, I acknowledge with profound appreciation the far-reaching impact of Her Excellency’s untiring engagements across the length and breadth of our nation. Through her strategic initiatives and direct interventions, she has continued to empower communities, strengthen family structures, restore hope to the vulnerable, and advance a culture of care, dignity, and shared prosperity. Her leadership has become a source of inspiration and reassurance to millions of Nigerians.
As we prepare for the forthcoming Power of 10 Million Mega Empowerment and Rally, themed “One Voice, One Movement, One Choice,” this honour comes with even greater significance. It reinforces the urgent need for unity, national cohesion, and a collective endorsement of the visionary leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. At this crucial time, such endorsement is imperative to consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda, sustain ongoing reforms, deepen social investments, and secure a stronger, more inclusive future for women, families, and all vulnerable populations in Nigeria.
The conferment of the title “Soniyanko Nupe” is more than a ceremonial honour; it is a profound recognition of service, compassion, influence, and responsibility. It is a fitting tribute to a First Lady whose life of impact continues to unite people, mobilize communities, and strengthen the social fabric of our great nation. I celebrate this remarkable milestone and pray that this honour will further inspire Her Excellency to greater heights of service to Nigeria and humanity.
Once again, I say Congratulations, Your Excellency. Nigeria Women, Children, Families and celebrates you.
Signed
Hon. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, fsi,
Honourable Minister Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development
