FIC REPORT (EDO STATE) – The Edo State Police Command has reinforced its partnership with the Nigerian Army through a strategic meeting aimed at boosting collaborative efforts in maintaining peace and security across the state. The initiative was marked by a courtesy visit from Commissioner of Police Patrick Daaor to the headquarters of the 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, led by Brigadier General A. O. Balogun on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

During the visití, CP Daaor and Brigadier General Balogun discussed the current security landscape in Edo State and explored ways to enhance joint
operational strategies, intelligence sharing,joint operational planning and coordinated responses to emerging threats, all aimed at strengthening the State’s Security Architecture

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both institutions to work together in crime prevention, rapid response to security challenges, protection of critical infrastructure, and ensuring the safety of residents. The Inter Agencies also exchanged gifts, symbolizing their mutual respect and the strong institutional partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Army.

This development underscores a renewed dedication by both Security bodies to collaborate more effectively in safeguarding Communities and maintaining peace across Edo State.
