Edo Police Commissioner Conducts Operational Assessment Of Flash Points In Edo North And Central Senatorial District

FIC Report (Edo State) – The commissioner of Police, EDO State command, Mr. Monday Agbonika, fdc, has commenced on-the-spot assessment of various violence flash points across Edo Central and Edo North Senatorial Districts of the State, respectively. The Commissioner of Police swung into action barely four days of his assumption of office as the 50th Commissioner of Police of the Command.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Moses Yamu, in a press statement said, the commissioner accompanied the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo and the Kano State delegation led by the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdusalam Gwazo on the visit.

In his statement, “The Commissioner of Police visited Uromi, Ubiaja, Irrua, Ekpoma, Auchi, and Igarra. During the visits, the CP engaged with stakeholders, paramount rulers, traditional chiefs, community leaders, youth leaders, members of the Vigilantes and hunters. He further visited all the flash points identified to be used by criminals for their nefarious activities.”

The message was clear during these visits: “it is a call for everyone to get involved in the security of their various communities”.

Meanwhile, stakeholders in all communities visited pledged their resolve to work with the commissioner and the State command to achieve a secured Edo State.
