FIC Report (Lagos State) – An MOU has been signed by the Federal Government and Lagos State Government to commence a 68km green line Rail project connecting Victoria Island, Lekki, Ajah area of the state.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosha, on Monday at the citizen/media stakeholders forum organised by the ministry stated that a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the project has been signed with the Federal Government’s Ministry of Finance
As a result of this , the Federal Government had designated the sum of #146.14 Billion for the project.
Moreover, the funding forms part of the proposed 49.74 Trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year and is included in the ministry of transport ‘s total allocation of 256.73 billion to advance its infrastructure initiative.
