FIC, Abia State rejoices with Kidnapped Colleague after his release

The Staff of Federal Information Center, Abia State, today, 17th August paid a courtesy visit to one of their Staff,  Mr Uchechi Uzosike at his residence located at Uzosike Close,World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia, Abia State.

The purpose of the visit was to felicitate with Mr Uchechi Uzosike, a Staff of Federal Ministry of Information who was kidnapped on Friday 28th May, 2023 and later regained his freedom after spending days in the Kidnappers den and whose Wife equally gave birth to a baby Boy recently.

In her remarks,the Head of Centre, Federal Information Centre, Mrs Gloria Abiakam represented by Mrs Akudo Ezi thanked God for his safe release from the kidnappers attributing it to God’s excellent grace and mercy.

The Head of Centre decried the rate of insecurity faced in Abia State and other parts of the Country which has made citizens to sleep with eyes open as no where is safe again.FIC, Abia State rejoices with Kidnapped Colleague after his release

She, however, called on the governments at all levels to put security measures in place to help reduce the rate of untimely deaths caused by insecurity.

She equally congratulated Mr Uzosike and Wife for the safe delivery of a baby Boy after six years in marriage.

Earlier in his remark,the Head Of Administration,Federal Information Center, Abia State, Mr Henry Ntosi praised God for the safe return of Uzosike from the kidnappers captivity which he attributed to God’s Grace and Mercy, he pointed out that it was God that rescued him from the kidnappers and not the ransom because there were victims who even after paying huge ransom but never made it alive and prayed to God to protect the family and the new born baby.

In his Vote of thanks, Mr Uzosike thanked Members of  Staff for making out time to visit him and thanked God for blessing his family with a Baby Boy.

Highlight of the visit was a Praise/Worship and special prayers for the family.
