The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, alongside Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, and senior ministry officials, hosted a dinner in honor of Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, Executive Director for Africa Constituency 3 at the World Bank (ED ANSA), during her official visit to Nigeria.
Minister Edun praised Dr. Ahmed’s contributions to financial governance and economic development, both nationally and internationally. He emphasised the importance of collaboration between Nigeria, international financial institutions, and global partners to drive economic progress.
Dr. Ahmed expressed gratitude for the warm reception, highlighting ongoing discussions on improving private sector access to financing, leveraging new financial instruments, and accelerating critical infrastructure projects funded by the World Bank. She reaffirmed the World Bank’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s economic development.
Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Uzoka-Anite, also congratulated Dr. Ahmed on her new role and assured her of continued collaboration.
