FIC Report (Kano State) – Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima on the demise of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar Albishir.
In a statement released by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Abba Kabir described the late Hajiya Maryam Abubakar as a devoted housewife who dedicated her life to raising her family and community. He praised her kindness, friendliness, and leadership, noting that her passing has created a significant void that will be difficult to fill.
The Governor expressed shock and sadness over her passing, stating that “her death occurred when she was needed the most.” He extended his condolences to the Vice President, his wife Hajiya Nana Shettima, and the families of the deceased, praying that Almighty Allah grant her soul eternal rest and Jannatul Firdausi be her final abode.
The Kano State government and its people join in mourning the loss of this remarkable woman, whose legacy will continue to inspire and guide her family and community.
