Health Care Development Consortium Visit Governor Ganduje

Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has restated the commitment of his administration to collaborate with foreign investors towards ensuring effective healthcare delivery in the State.

Ganduje made this known when he received the delegation of Kano Healthcare Development Consortium in his office recently.

The Governor, represented by his deputy, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, observed that there was no better time to intensify partnership with investors than now, when the administration had achieved a lot in  health care delivery.

Ganduje explained that, a foundation for a modern cancer centre had been laid down in Kano, which he stated further, would be the best of its kind in the country, with the construction having gone to a considerable level and its equipment would be the state of the art.

The Governor also commented on the new proposal by the healthcare development consortium to build a new hospital in the State as part of its investment on health. The Governor explained that his administration was ready to provide all the necessary support needed to make the project a reality.

Earlier, the team leader, Kano Health Care Development Consortium, Dr. Ebenezer Abusomwan, stated that they were in the government house to intimate the Governor about their proposal, as part of their contribution  to healthcare investment in the State.

He also disclosed that projects proposal is to build a gigantic hospital that would cater for diseases which include heart diseases, urological services and women related diseases. The hospital is expected to be completed within two years and handed over to the government after completion.
