Imo/Abia Customs, FRSC Renews Commitment To Security; Improved Service Delivery

FIC Report (Imo State) – The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) lmo / Abia Area Command and the Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC) have reiterated their resolve to improve inter agency cooperation to boost security and enhance operational effectiveness in Imo state.

This renewed commitment was highlighted during a courtesy visit by the newly appointed sector Commander of FRSC RS 9.4 Imo sector Command, Corps Commander Nimota Okoro to the Customs Area Comptroller of Imo/Abia Area Command, Comptroller Blessing Iheanacho at the command’s headquarters, Owerri, Imo state as disclosed in a statement to the media.

In the meeting, Comptroller Iheanacho emphasized that synergy among security and paramilitary agencies is crucial for efficient service delivery and strengthening national security .

She maintained that a sustained cooperation among sister agencies remains the key to achieving shared objectives, and is confident that the command would continue to deepen its collaboration with the FRSC to align with the policy directions of the Comptroller General of Customs.

Commandant Iheanacho then thanked the FRSC Imo sector Command for facilitating and assisting issuance of driver’s licences for officers of the Imo/Abia Area Command.

Corps Commander Okoro, in her remarks, explained that the visit was to familiarise herself with the operations of NCS and further strengthen the cordial relationship between both organisations.

She stressed that FRSC values and appreciates the collaboration with NCS, adding that closer synergy will enhance coordination, safety and service delivery across the state.
