FIC Report (Kaduna State) – The Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, joined parliamentarians, government officials, diplomats, development partners and civil society organisations at the Stakeholders’ Dialogue on the Special Seats Bill for Women and Persons with Disabilities, held at the House of Representatives Chamber as part of the 2026 National Assembly Open Day.

In her goodwill message, the Deputy Governor urged greater inclusion of women and Persons with Disabilities in legislative institutions, describing equitable representation as critical to strengthening democracy, improving governance and building public trust.

The event was attended by the Leader of the House of Representatives, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, who represented the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen; Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu; Chairperson of the House Committee on Women Affairs, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara; Wife of the Speaker, Hajiya Fatima Abbas Tajudeen; and Nigeria’s first female Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Patricia Etteh, among other distinguished guests.
