The Bishop of the Diocese of Umuahia, Church of Nigeria, (Anglican Communion), Rt Revd Dr Geoffrey Obijuru Ibeabuchi, has charged the newly elected Officers of the Council of Knights, Diocese of Umuahia, to lead by example and to concentrate on the Cross and word of God in the discharge of their duties to God and humanity.

A Press Release signed by Sir Robert Uzomba Ekwuribe, Public Relations Officer of the Council, disclosed that His Lordship, Rt. Revd. Dr Geoffrey Obijuru Ibeabuchi, who spoke through Venerable Obinna Orji, the Chaplain, Council of Knights, Diocese of Umuahia, shortly after the election of officers at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Ohokobe/Umuohu, Ndume-Ibeku, Umuahia, commended the former Executive Officers of the Council of Knights for diligently serving the Council through forthrightness and dedication and charged them to aim at excellence, righteousness and devotion adding that when the righteous are on the throne, the people rejoice.The Bishop of the Diocese of Umuahia, Church of Nigeria, (Anglican Communion), Rt Revd Dr Geoffrey Obijuru Ibeabuchi ,has charged the newly elected Officers of the Council of Knights, Diocese of Umuahia,to lead by example and to concentrate on the Cross and word of God in the discharge of their duties to God and humanity.

Ihemanma (JP), who was returned for a second term in office ,appreciated the Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, Rt Revd Dr Geoffrey Obijuru Ibeabuchi, the Chaplain, Venerable Obinna Orji and the entire Council of Knights, for their support and promised to serve God, humanity and the Council of Knights, with renewed vigour, devotion and commitment.

Other officers unanimously returned for a second and last term in office are:
1. Sir Louis O. Ndubuka--- Vice President
2. Sir Augustine I. E. Obioma ----Treasurer
3. Sir Roland N. Iroegbu--- Financial Secretary
4. Sir Robert Uzomba Ekwuribe ---Public Relations Officer
5. Sir Onyekaozuru Ogbonna Ubani --Protocol Officer I and
6. Sir Sunday O. Awomukwu-- Protocol Officer II.

Those elected for their first tenure in office are:
1. Sir Frank N. Ibe--- Secretary
2. Sir Samuel Onyedikachi Nwariaku--- Assistant Secretary
3. Sir Kingsley Uwaemelulam ----Provost

The election was preceded by the first quarterly general meeting of the Council , Holy Communion, presentation of reports by the outgoing officers and prayer sessions. It would be recalled that the Sir Simeon O. Ihemanma (JP) led Executives introduced a number of successful 3T Award ceremony and Silver Jubilee Anniversary, support for Diocesan Synods, sponsorship of students in St. Mary's Magdalene Anglican Girls Seminary (SMMAGS), support for other Diocesan projects, launch of #100 million cooking gas plant project and support for the Ladies Hostel project among other projects which endeared him and his executive officers to the generality of members of the Council of Knights, Diocese of Umuahia, Anglican Communion.

The Council of Knights, Diocese of Umuahia during the period also successfully hosted the Aba Provincial Joint Council of Knights (APJCK) Secretariat for two years (2020 to 2021) and participated actively in the programmes of the Joint Council of Knights, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion.
