“Nigerian Coordinating Minister of Health & Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate is the exceptional personality who drop a global appointment where his monthly pay was in the region of $700, 000 (N1.7bn) only to patriotically pick up a ministerial appointment only to earn a paltry sum of N924, 000 as a minister.”

Dass, who holds the position of personal assistant to the minister, said that his boss was in 2019 advised to pull back from his governorship aspiration on the ground that he hasn’t enough electioneering campaigns funds to go about that governorship business, when the relinquishing FCT Minister Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed was opportune to contest the seat, perceived at that moment to be buoyant.

But, unknown to pate’s detractors, he had at that movement, no less than $3 billion in his account to vie for the governorship, but based on what the Bauchi stakeholders claimed that he hasn’t the capacity to contest the seat, Pate did not object the advice of pulling back from the race”, Ja’afar said.

“All those that made that decision for Pate not to contest to contest the governorship seat then, none of them is today with Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, none of them was in good terms with him, they were all in parallel lines. Pate therefore, then took up appointment with an international organization, namely, GAVY World Bank and left the country.
