Nasarawa State Government warned Heads of MDA’s against rejecting Corps Members

FIC Report (Nasarawa State) – Nasarawa state government has warned all Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies against the attitude of rejecting corp members posted to serve in their organizations.

Governor Abdullahi Sule handed down the Warning at the closing ceremony of the NYSC twenty -twenty four Batch ‘A’ Stream two Orientation Course in Keffi.

Governor Sule while Congratulating the two thousand, one hundred and fifty four Corp Members who have Successfully Completed the three weeks mandatory Orientation Course, tasked MDAs, host communities and other Corps employers to support and accommodating every corp members to enable them perform their one year mandatory service in there respective places of assignment in order to add value to their places of primary assignments.

He explained that, Nasarawa State is known for its hospitality apart from natural diversity and beauty, just as he called on the Corp Members to feel at home and wholeheartedly contribute their quota to the progress and development of their host Communities and the state as whole.

The governor assured them that the State government will ensure their welfare, Security and general well-being is given the desired attention, and equally urged them to embrace their Posting inline with the policies of the NYSC Scheme and use the values instilled in them during the three week Orientation Course effectively.

The State governor however reiterated his earlier Commitment to Commence the Construction of three thousand Capacity Multi-purpose Hall for the Orientation Camp events.

Earlier, State Coordinator National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) Alh. Abdullahi Jikamshi said a total of two thousand one hundred and fifty four Corp Members have been posted to various Places of primary assignments across the State having completed the three weeks mandatory camp orientation training course inline with the NYSC policy as Mandated by the Federal government.

The NYSC Coordinator urged the Corp Members to use social Media platforms wisely for Self improvement, promoting Unity, Peace and progress of the Country instead of Spreading rumors and inciting public discord as well as urging them to be security conscious by avoiding night journeys.
